Why We’re Ending the Podcast
When we hit record for the first time in January 2022, we didn’t know where this adventure would take us. What started as a way to share blogging advice and encouragement soon became a space filled with community, vulnerability, and inspiration.
It’s been one of our most favorite things we’ve ever done, and we’ve learned so much alongside you. Doing this podcast has been such a blessing… but tough decisions have to be made in business.
Sometimes, you have to let go of things you love to make room for what’s next. After many honest business conversations, we realized it was time to step away from the podcast to make room for new opportunities.
Lessons From the Podcast Journey
As we wrap up The Ultimate Blog Podcast, we wanted to reflect on what this experience has taught us. Here are some of the biggest lessons we’ve learned:
1. Be Intentional From the Start
If you’re thinking about starting a podcast, know your “why.” Think about the intention behind the podcast and how it fits into your business. Maybe it’s tied to an offer, a service, or a specific goal.
For Amy, seeing the difference between her podcast that had a clear offer and one that didn’t was eye-opening. The one that didn’t have a clear offer attached was more like a hobby to her.
2. Community Is Everything
Blogging and podcasting can be lonely. Having people who understand your journey makes all the difference. We’ve been so lucky to build this incredible community of creators who encourage each other every step of the way.
From fellow bloggers to students inside the Roadmap membership, the connections we’ve made through this podcast have been one of its greatest gifts.
3. There’s No One Right Path to Success
Over nearly 200 interviews, we’ve learned that success looks different for everyone.
There’s no one right path, and you get to write your own story. Take inspiration from others, but always stay true to yourself and your values.
4. Connection Fuels Growth
If you’re a blogger, it’s essential that you reach out to others, even when it feels intimidating.
The truth is that people in this industry are so generous. They’ll share their time, their wisdom, their encouragement. Don’t be afraid to make those connections, because they’ll enrich your life and business more than you can imagine.
We’re So Grateful for This Community
To everyone who’s listened, shared, or emailed us: thank you. You’ve made this such a meaningful experience.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a true Ultimate Blog Podcast closeout without a little pep talk from Amy:
Show up imperfectly. Keep going, even on the hard days. Don’t quit on a bad day; quit on a good day. You already have everything you need inside you to take the next step. There is space for you. You are worthy.

Jennifer and Amy,
My jaw is still on the ground. I can’t believe you are discontinuing the Podcast. Every Tuesday – that is the first thing I listen to on my walk. And I listen to many of the back podcasts on my other walks. I will REALLY miss your inspiration and ideas. I hope you will keep the Roadmap – I am thinking of coming back into that membership. I would love to learn more about why you really decided to cancel the Podcast. You will be missed.
