Content, Connection, and Getting Back to the Basics
SHOW NOTES: Episode 55
Welcome back to another episode of the Ultimate Blog Podcast and Happy New Year!
It’s Amy here and I have a solo episode for you today. It’s an exciting time because the podcast has officially been launched for one year! Jennifer and I set a goal to be consistent and release a new episode each week in 2022 and we did that! Today I want to talk more with you about consistency and getting back to the basics. When thinking about getting back to the basics, I want you to ask yourself: What are the basics that my business needs? I want you to also ask yourself: How am I doing with those things?
I believe the basics of blogging are truly want make us successful.
Does your work inspire you? Does your blog inspire you? Do you enjoy blogging? Do you have a plan for your business? Do you know what you are working towards?
I think we often tell ourselves, “Oh It’s not working” or “I’m not successful” or “I’m not growing at the rate that I want to or I should be.” But, as we go into 2023, I want you to know that any dream that you have for your blog can happen. There are two things you have to take into account — time and patience.
Remember, no business has ever been built overnight. Every business grows at it’s own pace.
If growth is on your mind for 2023, I want you to ask yourself: Am I creating content on a consistent basis? Is this a good goal going into this year? How are you doing keyword research? Are you looking at SEO? With the content you are creating, are you tracking the data? Are the right people finding your blog? If not, why? Are you promoting your blog on a platform that makes sense for your blog?
Getting back to the basics is so important.
At the heart of all of it, I believe that there are two main things that matter most, and that is content and connection. Make sure your why is worth fighting for and make sure your why is something that you truly believe in.
Do not sell yourself short this year. Remind yourself that you are worthy, you are capable, and you can crush it. Make a plan for yourself! Don’t forget the joy this year. Enjoy the process!
I wish you all success this year and can’t wait to hear about it!
