Why WordPress is Best for Bloggers with Grayson Bell
SHOW NOTES: Episode 69
Grayson Bell, owner of iMark Interactive is joining us today to talk about all things WordPress. iMark Interactive is a WordPress support and development company that helps clients with technical support, maintenance, and development.
On today’s episode, Grayson tells us how he got started as a blogger using WordPress which eventually led him to start his business almost 20 years ago.
We talk about who would benefit from a WordPress site as opposed to other platforms out there, why WordPress is the best option for content creators, and why bloggers should start using WordPress from the beginning to save yourself the hassle of migrating all of your content from another platform in the future.
Grayson shares why some people are moving away from buying custom themes, why you should think about starting with a simple theme to build your site and then customize it to fit your needs as you grow, and why you should be mindful of your colors and fonts so that your content is easily accessible to everyone. We also talk about why you need to set realistic expectations for growing your blogging business, why it is important to understand that building a blogging business takes time, and the importance of knowing that data is constantly changing and you have to be willing to evolve with it.
The most successful people are going to be the ones that understand things are going to constantly change. You have to have a passion and a willingness to learn new things and be willing to be adaptable and go with the flow.
