Using Quizzes to Grow Your Email List with Interact
If you’re a blogger looking for a new and exciting way to grow your email list and better understand your audience, you need to try Interact quizzes! We recently spoke with Jackie from Interact, and she shared all her knowledge on how quizzes can be a powerful tool for bloggers.
Why Interact Quizzes Are a Great Tool for Bloggers
Quizzes are not just fun–they’re a highly effective way to connect with your audience. Jackie explains how quizzes allow you to get specific feedback from your audience, so you can tailor your content to them. They not only help you build your email list, but they also help you learn more about your audience and how you can better serve them.
Interact quizzes allow you to segment your email list and create personalized content. Even if you send your quiz to your existing subscribers, you can gather valuable insights about them based on how they answer the quiz questions.
For example, if you create a quiz on “Where should I travel?” you could create segmented email lists and blogs for different types of travelers, like solo travelers or travelers with kids. This lets you nurture your list with relevant content based on their preferences.
Thinking about getting started with Interact quizzes? Here’s are some commonly asked questions:
Common Questions on Using Interact Quizzes
What Makes a Quiz Successful?: A good benchmark for a successful quiz is 40%–meaning, 40% of the people who viewed your quiz completed it and joined your email list.
If you’re not hitting that number, don’t worry that your quiz is a failure. It might just be a sign that you need to optimize how you’re promoting the quiz. Share it everywhere–your blog, social media, even on QR codes in your local shops and boutiques–and share it often.
Where Should You Place Your Quiz?: Put your quiz in a prominent, easily accessible place on your website. That might mean directly on your homepage, embedded as a pop-up, or added to every blog post to make sure your visitors engage with it.
How Long Should You Wait to Measure Success?: Instead of waiting a certain number of days or weeks before measuring your metrics, focus on how much traffic your quiz has received. If you’re brand new and don’t have an email list yet, start small–like 20 or 30 leads–and scale from there.
Use Quizzes with Your Existing Freebies: If you’ve already created an ebook, PDF, or other freebie, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Repurpose your content into a quiz around that topic, then A/B test to see how the quiz performs compared to your other freebies. This strategy allows you to see what resonates best with your audience and saves you time creating brand new content.
Once you’ve launched your quiz, you can integrate it into existing funnels for your newsletter (no need to reinvent the wheel and create an all-new funnel, unless you want to).
