Using Pinterest as a Blogger with Kate Ahl

On today’s episode, we sat down with Kate Ahl, Pinterest guru and owner of Simple Pin Media. She is here answering all of our questions about Pinterest as it relates to blogging.

Kate explains that the 3 things that you need to do when starting on Pinterest as a blogger:

  1. Know why you’re doing it.
  2. Make sure that your Pinterest is optimized to explain who you are and what you do.
  3. Start with 5-10 boards that are dedicated to what you do.

There have been many changes that have been made on Pinterest. We chat about idea pins vs. static images and Kate explains the strategy and tactics you need to know behind these images (how many to create, the things to think about when creating them, etc.)
