The Best Blog Marketing Ideas
SHOW NOTES: Episode 61
Welcome back to the Ultimate Blog Podcast! It’s Amy here today and I am going to talk with you about the best blog marketing ideas to take a little more control of your content and to put it out there in a way that people who need your content can find it.
On today’s episode, I dive into what you can do to help generate more eyes on the blog posts that you’re creating because you shouldn’t leave it up to Google and hope people will find your blog. First and foremost, the best tool for your business is consistency because staying on a consistent schedule. Showing up when your audience expects you to is going to be more valuable than anything else. I go over creating content on a consistent basis, creating a content strategy that is realistic for you and why it is important to understand that social media algorithms are constantly changing. I break down several ways that you can market your blog and I explain why I recommend only picking one or two for your own blog.
The best blog marketing ideas:
- Email marketing. You want to nurture this list so it can grow. Focus on providing valuable content so you can drive traffic to your blog and gain subscribers who want to see more of your content and blog posts.
- Pinterest is a fantastic tool to utilize in regards to marketing your blog. Pins on pinterest live forever and you never know when a certain pin will take off and bring people to your blog. We recommend creating a pin strategy for yourself that is realistic using Tailwind to schedule your pins and using the Grow Social plugin on your blog to make it easy for people to share your pins on Pinterest.
- Social media is a really great way to repurpose your blog posts. Focus on your blog first and then find ways to turn that content into posts on other social media platforms. Be intentional with the time that you spend on social media.
- Promoting your blog on LinkedIn is another great way to market your blog by doing articles and even connecting with people who are in your niche.
- Google web stories are a great tool to implement. They are a visual, full screen content format for the web that allows you to tap or swipe through stories where people can find them through a Google search.
I also go over some important tips you should consider when you think about the best blog marketing ideas. These include making sure your content is shareable, reaching out to brands that you are creating content about, including internal links to other pieces of content in your blog, having a call to action, and paying attention to where you can do things differently in order to grow.
It is such a joy to be in this space with each and every one of you. We hope you enjoy this episode and we want to hear how this episode helped you! Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram (@sparkmediaconcepts). We’d love to hear from you!
