SEO for Travel Bloggers with Nina Clapperton
SHOW NOTES: Episode 123
Have you ever thought about travel blogging?
We have Nina Clapperton on to share more about SEO for travel bloggers. Nina is a multi-6 figure travel blogger and the founder of She Knows SEO. Using her SEO and AI skills, she grew her travel blog to $30k/mo in 13 months! We loved hearing more about Nina’s story that led her to where she is today.
Nina shared how the travel niche is notoriously competitive, but Nina’s approach to carving out a unique space is important when strategically planning for your blog. She emphasized the importance of knowing your audience down to the finest detail. Whether you’re writing for retirees, couples, or families, understanding who you’re helping and what you want to be known for is important.
Nina’s strategy involves creating content silos or pillars within a broader niche, like solo travel. These pillars are designed to meet Google’s expectations and focus on specific keywords. Understanding what your audience is searching for and identifying market gaps is crucial for success.
She shared that it’s possible to rank for keywords related to popular travel destinations by focusing on specific and relevant keywords tailored to your audience. It’s important to analyze competitors and compete with lower domain authority sites to drive traffic to your blog.
We are thankful that Nina came on to share more about SEO and travel blogging. Nina’s story is not only inspirational, but she also shares practical tips that you aren’t going to want to miss!
