How To Use Pinterest to Grow Your Blog in 2023 with Kate Ahl
SHOW NOTES: Episode 60
How can you use Pinterest to grow your blog in 2023?
Today we welcome back our friend Kate Ahl, Pinterest guru and owner of Simple Pin Media to talk all about Pinterest.
On today’s episode Kate talks about some of the trends we can expect to come in 2023 to set up our blogs for success on Pinterest.
She talks about a shift in e-commerce and how this shift will be great for those bloggers who have a digital or physical product and she talks about the addition of links to idea pins. We chat about the importance of understanding who your consumer is and essentially becoming the consumer and searching the platform yourself on both your desktop and mobile device so you can adjust your content to be optimized for the consumer.
We also dive more into idea pins and talk about what we can do to make sure that idea pins are containing the types of things that people want to see, why you really have to get to know your audience and what they want, and why it is important as a blogger to test and track the data because you don’t know what kind of pins are going to do the best. Kate talks about how Pinterest analytics have improved and understanding that Pinterest is an investment for the long haul that requires a lot of patience because sometimes pins take off months later. She also talks about how important consistency is, utilizing the content you already have and using digital products to help generate revenue.
We had a great conversation with Kate today and we love having someone that we can go to and chat with about all things Pinterest. We want to hear how this episode helped you! Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram (@sparkmediaconcepts). We’d love to hear from you!
