Freelancing, Growth Mindset, and Authentic Entrepreneurship with Kirsti McNabney
SHOW NOTES: Episode 89
On today’s episode, we have Kirsti McNabney on the show to talk more about freelancing as another stream of income in your blogging business.
Kirsti is a freelance marketing strategist and owner of Kirsti McNabney Creative, where she helps creative entrepreneurs strategize and create thoughtful content to connect with their ideal audience. She’s also the host of the Thinking About Podcast – the digital equivalent to late night chats with friends that keep you thinking long after they end. Through the platform, she’s hosted guests including Scout Sobel, Siff Haider, Danielle Robay, and many more. Kirsti is passionate about creating community with like-minded people, helping people bring their dreams to life, cooking delicious meals, and exploring the world.
On today’s episode, we chat more about freelancing opportunities alongside blogging, more on growth mindset, and authentic entrepreneurship in general.
Freelancing can allow you to use your skills and provide services related to blogging, such as SEO, photography, email newsletters, podcasting, graphic design, and creating digital products for clients. There’s also other opportunities for freelancing with social media management, copywriting, website design, event planning, blog writing, and so much more! As bloggers, you have so many skills that you do already so utilizing some of those skills with freelancing can help you offer those skills and services to clients and generate revenue as well!
You can even delegate tasks in your own blogging business to freelancers to alleviate overwhelm. Many entrepreneurs have support in various aspects of their business so it is okay to seek help instead of doing it all yourself.
We also chat more about burnout that may happen in the entrepreneurship space. It is so important to take time and prioritize self-care to avoid burnout. Take time off, establish strong work boundaries, delegating tasks, and letting go of the guilt that sometimes can be associated with self-care are some ways that can help you from getting to the burnout stage.
We hope this episode helps you and encourages you to think outside of the box when thinking about blogging and adding in another stream of revenue through freelancing.
