7 Ways to Work Smarter & Be More Productive in 2024
SHOW NOTES: Episode 107
Happy New Year! We are sharing 7 ways to work smarter and be more productive in 2024 in your blogging business. We cover everything from batching tasks to hiring help to doing a time audit.
Here are our 7 tips to work smarter and be more productive in 2024:
1. Plan ahead
It is important to plan for the upcoming quarter, keeping your focus on creating meaningful content for your blog. When you take the time to map out your content and schedule posts in advance, you are taking away any stress that may arise.
2. Batch Work
Something that we became really intentional about in 2023 was batch working. Dedicating time to batching similar tasks alleviates the mental load that comes with switching from one task to another.
3. Conduct a Time Audit
Do you know where your time is really going? When you take the time to do a time audit, you can be honest and see where your time is really going and how much time you are spending on your goals. You don’t have to share this with everyone but we believe it is very important to do this for yourself so that you can see.
4. Let Go of the Things that Don’t Serve Your Business
It’s hard to let go, but if it’s not serving your business and not propelling you forward, it’s time to let it go. Focus on those things that are serving your business!
5. Hire Help
Do you need to hire help to get back some of that time in your business? It can be a game-changer when thinking about your business. You can hire help for just a few hours a month and this allows you to put focus on to the tasks that only you can do! Invest in areas that will truly help your business. Go back and check out episode 97 where we chatted with Allie Stewart about knowing when it’s time to hire in your business.
6. Set Office Hours
As a blogger, you run your business and you set your hours. You don’t have someone telling you when to work. This is wonderful but it also comes with making sure that you are dedicating time that you need to work on your blog as well. Setting specific office hours can help with this. This allows you to create space for work time and a separate time for your personal life.
7. Use a Project Management Tool
The power of a project management tool to keep you organized is amazing! Project management tools help you stay organized and focused on the tasks that matter most. You can figure out what project management tool works for you. We personally use ClickUp. Check out episode 63 to hear Kaci Ackerman share more about ClickUp!
