Tip 1: Optimize Every Blog Post
Ann’s first tip is to optimize every blog post by considering its goal and target audience. This involves using SEO strategy, and using relevant keywords in headings and throughout the post. The call to action should be tailored to the specific content of the blog post, which increases the chances of engagement and conversion.
Tip 2: Be Intentional About the Desired Outcome
Whether it’s for ad revenue or building an email list, understanding the purpose behind the traffic helps you serve your audience better. Ann shared the significance of being intentional about the desired outcome of increased traffic.
Tip 3: Have Systems in Place
Have systems in place to capture the attention of visitors and encourage them to return. She shares that this may mean having an email system with a well-planned welcome sequence and regular communication to nurture subscribers. She explains the importance of having a long-term plan for engaging with the email list, rather than just sporadic selling.
Tip 4: Create More Content Like You Created
Brainstorm ideas of content that you can create similar to what you created and use the momentum to drive traffic to other related content. By linking from the viral post to other posts, you can create visibility and engagement.
